Experienced Accountant and Finance professional with over 25 years experience and skills in assurance services, project management, mergers and acquisition, strategy, +investment, financial reporting, analysis and management. Have developed very strong interpersonal skills and an ability to achieve results through cross functional teams.
An Executive Director with F.C.M.B Ltd since May 2015.
- Responsible for significant improvement in cost management which resulted in single digit increase in cost year on year for the past 3 years despite inflationary trends. The Bank has one of the best cost growth in the industry
- Participated in the acquisition of 3 other Banks during the 2005 consolidation exercise and directed the smooth integration of systems and processes within record time of three months.
- Coordinator of the Acquisition of CSL Stockbrokers Ltd, First City Asset Management Ltd and CSL Registrars Ltd by the bank.
- Participated in the recently concluded acquisition/integration of Finbank Plc.
- Participated in the restructuring of the bank ownership into Holding Company structure in line with the new banking model requirement of the CBN.
Adetunji Lamidi - Managing Director
Mr. Adetunji (“Tunji”) Jelil Lamidi (MBA) is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of FCMB Microfinance Limited. Prior to this appointment, he was an Assistant Vice President & Group Head of Mass Market Banking for FCMB Limited. Before setting up the Microfinance subsidiary for FCMB Group, Adetunji was responsible for developing the Financial Inclusion Strategy for the Bank which started through Direct Sales Channel activities as the National Head of Sales – a major deposit & Credit acquisition model for the retail business of the Bank and culminated in the setting up of the Mass Market Unit. Prior to FCMB, He was a Regional Service Manager & Head of Franchise for MTN Nigeria.
He had served as a Service Centre Manager at MTN and also as a Regional Sales Manager for Kewalram/Chanrai Nigeria Limited. Tunji also had a brief stint at the defunct Monitor Newspapers Limited in Ibadan as a Senior Advert Executive where he worked mainly in marketing operations. Over the course of his sterling career, he has garnered diverse expertise in General management skills, including Sales Operations, Strategy Development, Budgeting, Project Management, Customer Relation, and Inventory Management. He is a skilled communicator who consistently motivates staff to provide total quality service to Clients and consummate Sales manager & strategic Leader focused on execution and task completeness.
He has a very rich experience /understanding of the Consumer market driven by Innovation with over 20 year’s post-graduation experience in Commercial/trading, Telecoms & Banking Organizations. Tunji attended the University of Ibadan, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Managerial Psychology (MMP) from the University of Ibadan and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Leicester, United Kingdom. In addition to his MBA, he has attended executive/leadership programs at Lagos Business School, Helix Institute & IFC/World Bank trainings on digital Finance Services.
Tunji is a member of Rotary Club of Lagos where he serves as its Executive Secretary and Sigma Club, (Old Sigmites Association) which is focused on Socio –Philanthropy and Service to Humanity. He is also a member of the prestigious IKOYI Club. He was a recipient of CEO Silver award for Sales Excellence in 2003 and Y’ELLO STAR AWARD for Customer Service & Living the Values, MTN in 2005. He is happily married with children.
Shiba Gosh - Executive Director
Shiba Ghosh is a Senior Vice President responsible for Consumer Banking under the retail banking group in FCMB Plc. He has over 27 years’ experience in Consumer Banking. In 1990, he joined Citibank India and worked in various departments including Sales, Customer Service, Branch Management, and Risk Management & Credit Cards.
He joined Standard Chartered Bank in 1999 in Credit Cards & later move to heading Personal Loans Business in India. He moved to Nigeria with Standard Chartered Bank in 2006 to Head their Retail Assets Department. In August 2007, Shiba Ghosh joined First City Monument Bank Plc to Head Consumer Banking Group. ‘Shiba’ is an alumnus of St. Xavier’s College (Bachelor of Commerce) and has an MBA from Birla Institute of Technology, India.
Mrs Oluwatoyin Olaiya
Toyin Olaiya joined the Bank with 26 years of experience, the most recent being the position of Acting Chief Risk Officer at Sterling Bank. She started her career as an auditor with KPMG, moved to Abacus Merchant Bank, Magnum Trust Bank and later Sterling Bank. She has also occupied positions in domestic operations, internal audit, business development, financial control as well as different enterprise risk management roles in the industry.
Toyin is an Accounting graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. She is the Chief Risk Officer of the Bank overseeing Risk Policy & Credit Administration, Market & Operational Risk, Underwriting, Monitoring and MIS.
