FCMB MFB was set up to focus on financial inclusion & introduce Naira wise account to the market. The vision started with a pilot of Group Lending business with focus on women traders. We obtained an OYO State Microfinance License in 2016. The drive and focus of this vision was rewarded with an award of $2m grant by EFINA to demonstrate savings & loan inclusiveness for women through Microfinance and Agency banking.
Established 46 branches of group lending across FCMB branches in 8 States and 3 MFB branches in OYO State in Q1 with plans to migrate 8 Group lending branches before Sept, 2017 to MFB. This achievement has been driving with the Implementation of an MFB robust Core banking solution – BR.NET to enhance technological innovation. The business have Over N3.6b disbursed to 56,000 women traders across 8 States so far. Achieved PBT of N195.2m in 2016. Also commences plan to apply for National MFB License to consolidate all the GL branches.
